Abstract
The growth responses and calcium uptake of Agrostis species at various Ca. concentrations are reported. In a calcifuge species, A. setacea, Ca. concentration in the shoots reached a steady state in conditions where the growth response to Ca in the external medium was maximal. It is suggested that the Ca transport system is saturated at lower levels of Ca in A. setacea than in the calcicole A. stolonifera. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
