An Outdoor Weather-Comfort Index for the Summer Season in Hartford, Connecticut

Abstract

Temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, and solar radiation are combined into a single numerical expression for outdoor weather comfort in Hartford. The use of this “Comfort Index” in radio weather broadcasts is discussed.
