The Thick-Wall Sign: An Important Finding in Nephrotomoqraphy

Abstract
A number of examples demonstrating the "thick-wall sign" are presented. The finding, when present, indicates that the renal lesion under investigation is probably not a cyst but may represent a necrotic renal carcinoma and must be studied further. The nephrotomographic requirements for the diagnosis of renal mass lesions have been presented, and the need for strict adherence to these criteria is stressed.
