Electric Dipole Transition from the2f72Isobaric Analog Resonance to the2d52Ground State inPr141

Abstract

Electric dipole $\gamma$ rays from the $2f_{\frac{7}{2}}$ isobaric analog state ${\left(2\mathrm{}{T}_0\right)}^{-\frac{1}{2}}{T}_{-}|i〉$ to the $2d_{\frac{5}{2}}$ ground state $|f〉$ in ${}_{}{}^{141}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Pr}$ were measured with a Ge(Li) crystal. The matrix element of the $E1\mathrm{}$ $\gamma$ transition, $\left|〈f\right|m_{\gamma }{T}_{-}{\left(2\mathrm{}{T}_0\right)}^{-\frac{1}{2}}\left|i〉\right|$, and that of the analogous first forbidden $\beta$ transition, $\left|〈f\right|m_{\beta }\left|i〉\right|$, were obtained.
