Abstract
In this paper, we consider the flow control problem for a movable boundary integrated voice-data multiplexer. We propose a flow control scheme where a decision rule based on the data queue length is employed to cutoff the priority of voice to prevent a data queue buildup. A continuous-time queueing model for the integrated multiplexer is developed. The performance of the flow control scheme is obtained using an efficient computational procedure. A numerical example is presented for illustration. Keywords
