Successful Treatment of Quinidine and Procaine Amide Intoxication

Abstract

EARLIER observations from this laboratory demonstrated in the laboratory animal the efficacy of molar sodium lactate in reversing toxic electrocardiographic and blood-pressure changes resulting from quinidine and procaine amide.^{1 2 3} The purpose of this paper is to report the successful clinical application of these findings.Case ReportsCase 1.
