Abstract
For the logarithmic temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility of normal paramagnetic Fermi liquids or metals, the discrepancy between predictions from the Landau Fermi-liquid theory and those from microscopic theory is discussed. The coefficient of the T2 ln T term in the temperature dependence of the susceptibility is not triply (or quadruply) enhanced, as approximate microscopic theory predicts, but doubly enhanced with respect to the enhancement factor. Similarly the term next to T2 ln T is not of the form T3 ln T but of the form T4 ln T.
