Roentgenologic and Clinical Aspects of Hyperphalangism (Polyphalangism) and Brachydactylism

Abstract
THE purpose of this communication is to describe a syndrome that involves the hands and feet and is characterized by more than the normal number of phalanges in the affected finger. This feature of the syndrome is called hyperphalangy or polyphalangy and should be distinguished from polydactyly, in which there are more than the usual 5 fingers in the individual hand.
