Percutaneous lung biopsy using the Lee needle and a track-obliterating technique.

Abstract
The results of 100 [human] lung biopsies as performed with the aspiration and core-cutting Lee needle (17 gauge) are analyzed. A track-obliterating technique using an autologous clot was used to diminish the number of pneumothoraxes. The accuracy and complication rates of this combination method are compared with other radiologic techniques and correlated with the cyto-histopathologic findings.
