Pure Rotational Absorption Spectra of the Methyl Halides in the Spectral Region 100–600 ų

Abstract
Rotational absorption lines of the methyl halides CH3Cl, CH3Br, CH3I, CH3F, and CD3F have been measured for the first time in the region 80 to 15 cm—1 (125 to 660 μ). The results obtained are discussed with the aid of the molecular constants of these molecules derived from microwave data.
