Abstract
The energy-level structure of has been investigated by bombarding argon gas with 7.5-Mev deuterons and measuring the energy spectrum and angular distributions of the reaction protons. A value of 3.874±0.006 Mev was measured. Fifty levels were observed, and their excitation energies, values, reduced widths, and shell-model configurations have been determined. Mean energies of the shell-model configurations were: , 0 Mev; , 1.50 Mev; , 3.53 Mev; , 4.78 Mev; , 4.86 Mev; and , 5.55 Mev.
