Abstract
Catecholamine depletion by reserpine diminishes the tendency of the ventricle to escape from vagal suppression. Neither spinal section nor adrenalectomy enhances the reserpine effect. Norepinephrine restores the characteristic occurrence of ventricle escape during vagal stimulation. Keywords
