Abstract
Data analysis for nickel and gadolinium indicates the simple linear-model approximation for the parametric magnetic equation of state represents these data satisfactorily in the critical region. The results for nickel are in quantitative agreement with specific-heat data in the presence of magnetic fields. Keywords
