Abstract
The alfalfa weevil (Hypera postica (Gyllenhal)) became established in the eastern United States in 1952. The parasite, Bathyplectes curculionis (Thomson), successfully established in Utah in 1911, has now been generally established in the East. Recently, two more European species, Microctonus aethiops (Nees) and Tetrastichus incertus (Ratzeburg), have also become successfully established in the East.
