Abstract
A group of castrated 9 guinea pigs was treated with fibromatogenic quantities of diethylstilbestrol while another group was treated simultaneously with diethylstilbestrol and quantities of desoxycorticosterone acetate sufficient to prevent estrogen induced abdominal fibroids. The avg. fibrous tumoral effect diminished from 5.7-1.7 units. The concn. of Cl, Na or K in the blood was not changed with the level of desoxycorticosterone acetate used to prevent the fibroids.
