Abstract
A circuit is described which varies the relative alignment of the mirrors of a repetitively scanned plane Fabry-Perot interferometer until the transmitted light intensity of the strongest spectral component is maximized. Using this scheme an interferometer can be completely stabilized against all drifts arising due to thermal and mechanical instabilities. Keywords
