Abstract
Human lymphoblasts from an established tissue culture strain (EB1) derived from a Burkitt lymphoma were studied in thin sections with the electron microscope. The identification of the cells as lymphoblasts was confirmed at the fine structural level by their conformity to the usual morphological pattern of this type of cell. It was also observed that all the cultured cells were structurally uniform, irrespective of their shape or size, and that many possessed annulate lamellae such as are present in malignant cells. In addition, a peculiar cytoplasmic projection of the nuclear envelope was often observed, but its nature could not be determined. Keywords
