The Action of Isopropylphenylcarbamate upon Plants

Abstract
Comparisons were made of the herbicidal effectiveness of O-isopropyl N-phenylcarbamate and some substituted phenoxyacetic acids upon several plant spp. The former compound severely stunted or killed seedling cereals at rates of application at which the phenoxyacetic acid derivatives were largely ineffective but it had little or no herbicidal activity upon several dicotyledonous spp. The possible use of this compound as a selective herbicide for weedy grasses was suggested.
