Abstract
Cholesterol-induced changes in rabbits were studied with and without administration of an extract of eggplant. An anemia, accompanied by atrophic gastritis, developed in the cholesterol-fed animals. Their atheromatous plaques, and elevated serum cholesterol, lipoalbumin, α-lipoprotein, and neutral fat were not affected by the eggplant extract. Keywords
