SEROLOGICAL OBSERVATIONS ON THE ACTINOMYCETES ASSOCIATED WITH POTATO SCAB

Abstract
Using rabbit antisera and a simple flocculation test, a striking similarity in serological behavior is shown to exist between strains of Streptomyces capable of causing potato scab. This similarity in reaction is not apparent in tests with nonpathogenic isolates. The possible significance of these results with regard to the antigenic constitution of the organisms is discussed.
