Solitary Pyogenic Liver Abscess

Abstract

Of a total of 6 cases of solitary pyogenic liver abscess seen over a period of 5 years, 4 are described in which the probable cause of the abscess was found later. The occurrence of such an abscess where the cause is unknown is an indica-tion for follow-up and detailed investigation after treatment of the abscess.
