Decay of Ta177 and Lu177 to Levels in Hf177

Abstract
The decays of Ta177 and Lu177 to levels in Hf177 have been investigated with beta-ray spectrometers, NaI(Tl) gamma-ray spectrometers, and fast coincidence and angular correlation techniques. Energy levels in Hf177 have been characterized according to their energy (kev), the Nilsson asymptotic quantum numbers (NnzΛ), the total angular momentum and its component along the symmetry axis (I, K), and the parity (π) as follows: 0[514 72, 72]; 112.97[514 92, 72]; 249.7[514 112, 72]; 321.34[624 92, 92+]; 447.9[624 112, 92+]; 420.95[642 32, 32+]; 488.8[642 52, 32+]; 585.8[642 72, 32+]; 509.0[512 52, 52]; 605.5[512 72, 52]; 746.04[633 72, 72+]; 848.2[633 92, 72+]; and 1058.38[503 72, 72].
