Abstract
SOME of the endocrine aspects of sarcoidosis have been discussed in separate reports, but never in a comprehensive review. The purpose of this communication is to emphasize the diversity of clinical manifestations that may result from sarcoidosis of the endocrine and genital organs, and to review current concepts of the calcium metabolism in sarcoidosis. The pathogenesis of hypercalcemia and the problems encountered in its diagnosis and treatment are discussed in detail. The present review is based on a survey of the pertinent literature and on our own experience with endocrine disorders in patients with sarcoidosis.Hypercalcemia and Calcium MetabolismThe . . .Keywords
