Überführung von Oestron in Oestriol

Abstract

While the animal organism is quite able to transform estrone into estriol, there has been no method of duplicating the same process in vitro. The authors devised a method whereby estrone was transformed into estriol with a gain of 15% by the following steps: estrone-methyl-ether, 16-isoni-troso-estrone-methyl-ether, 16 -oxy -estrone - methyl - ether and estriol-methyl-ether. The synthesized estriol tested on mice proved to be as efficient as the normal estriol produced by the animal.
