Abstract
Most physicians seldom see parasitic infections and so tend to be complacent about their importance in our highly developed society. Yet in this era of wide travel' any physician may encounter the three infections Dr. Katz discusses—amebiasis, giardiasis, and strongyloidiasis. Dr. Katz points out important facts that will aid in early diagnosis and therapy, and particularly some factors that may obscure and delay diagnosis.—HCN
