Abstract
Studies of 40 patients with abnormalities of the posterior fossa show on magnetic resonance (MR) imaging were reviewed and compared with CT [computed tomography] scans. Only 13 lesions were demonstrated on MR while 24 lesions were shown on CT. However, MR provided more data. Three lesions were shown better on CT than on MR. MR is superior to CT because of the lack of streak artifacts and better contrast discrimination. At least 2 imaging sequences are required for evaluation of the lesions. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
