Abstract
Twelve pterin derivatives were studied. Increasing the concn. of phosphate buffer at pH 6.8 does not affect the fluorescence characteristically. Paper chromatography with counter-current development is suitable for characterization. If the u. -v. absorption spectra of the non-fluorescing folic and pteroic acids are compared with those of formylfolic acid and formylpteroic acid, the former have a wider max. at 283 m[mu].Keywords
