High Pressure Liquid Chromatography Techniques for the Isolation and Identification of Organics in Drinking Water Extracts

Abstract

Some of the potential of high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) for sample cleanup of drinking water extracts for later analysis by GC/MS is described. Co-eluting compounds or background can be eliminated, thus improving mass spectra identification of GC peaks and enabling the identification of compounds not previously identified.
