Abstract
Growth rates of uremic children maintained with hemodialysis are analyzed. Metabolic acidosis, hyperparathyroidism, defective vitamin D metabolism and energy-protein malnutrition are implicated factors in retarded growth. Renal transplantation is discussed in restoration of normal growth rates. Keywords
