Carbon Dioxide Variations in the Atmosphere

Abstract
The Scandinavian CO2-sampling in 1955 is described. The mean results for the calendar year are given. Earlier CO2-measurements are discussed and a figure showing most of these values is given. The theory of Callendar is discussed and the Scandinavian values are compared with Callendar's. The seasonal variations at the Scandinavian stations are compared and the results discussed. The possibility of drawing synoptic maps is discussed and one example is shown. The desirability of systematic CO2-measurements on a global scale is emphasized. DOI: 10.1111/j.2153-3490.1956.tb01208.x
