Abstract
Previous investigation having shown that certain igneous rocks show a greater gamma-ray intensity than can be explained by their known uranium, thorium, and potassium content, two experiments were devised to determine if this surplus radiation could be due to artificial radioactivity induced within the rocks by cosmic rays, even though this possibility seemed unlikely from a theoretical standpoint. Keywords
