'Traveling' sampling of scattered fields

Abstract
It is argued that in the analysis of fields scattered by radiating systems, the efficiency of the computation can be increased by using sampling techniques. The feasibility of such a technique is considered. A convergence factor is introduced in order to reduce the truncation error and speed up the convergence of the series. Different forms of these factors are considered. Due to the truncation properties of the interpolating functions, 'traveling' sampling has been proved an effective tool for the reduction of redundance in the reconstruction of the fields
