Abstract
The activity of isoniazid and 4 antituberculous agents was detd. against various Actinomycetes and Mycobacteria. Most of the Actinomycetales tested were sensitive to less than 10 /[mu]g./ml. of streptomycin and neomycin. All the nonpathogenic Actinomycetales were inhibited by a concn. of 350-750 [mu]g. of p[long dash]aminosalicylic acid. The susceptibility of the various Actinomycetales to isoniazid tends to follow their phylogenic position. Keywords
