SO14unified model with elementary electron and muon families and compositeτfamily

Abstract

Previously we constructed a unified model based on the exceptional group ${\mathrm{E}}_6$ in which the S${\mathrm{O}}_{10}$ electron family $f_e(e, {\nu }_e, u, d)$ is elementary and the $\mu$ and $\tau$ families are composite 16's. Motivated by the very strong constraints on any composite model of $e$ or $\mu$ from the phenomenal agreement between theory and experiment for their anomalous magnetic moments, we present an S${\mathrm{O}}_{14}$ model (a straightforward extension of the ${\mathrm{E}}_6$ model) in which $f_e$ and $f_{\mu }$ are elementary and $f_{\tau }$ is composite. Another composite S${\mathrm{O}}_{10}$ 16 and two 144's are predicted.
