LOW CEREBROSPINAL FLUID SUGAR IN MENINGEAL CARCINOMATOSIS

Abstract
A case is described in which meningeal irritation, with slight pleocytosis and reduced sugar content (12, 21 and 26 mg%) in the cerebrospinal fluid was due to a carcinoma of the colon with diffuse secondary involvement of the meninges. Reference is made to 5 similar cases in the literature.
