Abstract
The stability of a one-dimensional deflagration wave to small disturbances was investigated. By introducing a suitable approximation to the steady-state temperature distribution and after assuming that the Lewis number of the unperturbed flow is unity, it is possible to obtain an explicit solution to the disturbance equation. It is demonstrated that within the framework of the present analysis the deflagration wave appears to be stable. Keywords
