Abstract
In an optical fiber, nonlinear optical interactions couple the sideband modes of two strong pump waves at different frequencies just as required for a quantum nondemolition measurement. Experimental measurements demonstrate that 37% of the rms phase fluctuations of one wave are caused by the quantum amplitude fluctuations of the other. Keywords
