Abstract
Samples of (La1-x Sr x )2CuO4-δ were prepared by the ceramic method under various conditions, paying particular attention on the possible effect of residual water on superconductivity. It was shown that either crystal water or absorbed water originally contained in the starting materials and/or absorbed during the preparation process, appreciably depressed the volume fraction of the superconductive region of the final product even after the prolonged heat treatment at 1100°C.Keywords
