Effect of Hydrostatic Pressure on the Superconducting Transition Temperature of (La1-xBax)2CuO4-y with x=0.075

Abstract
The pressure dependence of superconducting transition temperature T c of (La1-x Ba x )2CuO4-y with x=0.075 was determined under hydrostatic pressure up to 20 kbar. It is found that T c linearly increases and the width of transition is broadened with pressure. The pressure enhancement of T c is interpreted as being a support for the suggestion that T c is correlated with the copper-oxygen distance.
