Abstract
We discuss in detail the imaging properties of nonlinear image upconverters. Three‐dimensional image conversion is shown to be possible. The dependence on the system parameters of the converted image's resolution, location, and chromatic aberration is treated. Image conversion with object and pump beams of the same frequency is experimentally demonstrated and the experimental techniques discussed.This publication has 15 references indexed in Scilit:
