Abstract
Non-intrusive load monitoring was introduced when the sophisticated computing tools became popular. Now the embedded computing tools are common and their computing power is sufficient enough to build affordable tools applicable in energy efficiency, demand side management and preventive maintenance programs. A novel NILM prototype system is presented in this paper which is appropriate for both electric loads disaggregating and diagnostic. The relation between online NILM system hardware specifications with real time NILM algorithms are carefully examined and tabulated. Keywords
