Abstract
Based on the general formalism developed previously by the present author, it is shown how diamagnetism, longitudinal, and transverse conductivities of a superconductor are related with each other. In this way one can see the interrelation existing among recent works of Mattis and Bardeen, of Blatt and Matsubara, and of Tinkham and Ferrell. It is found that the infinite static conductivity still remains to be an unsolved problem. Keywords
