Abstract
Subterranean clover (Trifolium subterraneum L.) grown on a basaltic soil from Cooma, N.S.W., responded markedly to treatment with sulphur, as sulphate. The sulphur deficiency occurring on this soil was uncomplicated by deficiencies of other elements, including phosphorus. Even when the sulphur deficiency had been corrected the phosphorus status of the soil was adequate for normal clover growth. Keywords
