Correct evaluation of the irradiance of reflected light from rough surfaces

Abstract
Numerical results for the simplified irradiance integral are presented. The Gaussian and exponential surface height autocorrelation functions are shown to produce qualitatively different results in the rough surface limit. Several incorrect applications of the theory in the current literature are pointed out.Keywords
