Abstract

The electro-oxidation of a pyrrole N-substituted by an aliphatic chain bearing the viologen (4,4′-bipyridinium) group (V²⁺) produces a film of electroactive poly(pyrrole) containing the V²⁺ redox center on the electrode surface.
