Abstract
ESR measurements of Zn·6O: are presented for experimental arrangements in which the static magnetic field is parallel as well as perpendicular to the microwave magnetic field. A comparison of the spectra for these two configurations yields a simple, direct determination of the relative signs of the parameters and , and and . Relative transition probabilities for the parallel-field case are calculated and found to have a particularly simple form. The values in gauss of the parameters in the spin Hamiltonian are , , , , and ; is found equal to 1.999±0.001.
