Abstract
The n = 1 line of the green series of Cu2O has been investigated recently using a differential electroabsorption method. The oscillator strength of this line has also been evaluated theoretically and compared to a rough experimental measurement. In this paper, a method is developed to deduce the oscillator strength from the differential wavelength modulated spectrum and a more accurate value is obtained for the n = 1 green line. It is confirmed furthermore that this line is not polarized which implies a predominant magnetic dipole character. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
