Abstract
Percentile standards for the measurements of interorbital distance and thickness of the skull based upon roentgenograms of the skull and paranasal sinuses in a group of healthy subjects are presented. The deviation of the pattern of growth is analyzed. Two applications of the standards are demonstrated: Down''s syndrome in a 35-year-old woman; and a benign form of osteopetrosis in a 37-year-old man presented with data concerning his brother and offspring. The age ranges for the closure of cranial sutures are discussed. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
