Abstract
In order to determine the effects of sulfadiazine on spermatogenesis and its excretion in the ejaculate, the semen of 9 healthy young medical students was examined prior to, concomitant with and subsequent to admn. of 1 g. of sulfadiazine/dose. Oral admn. of sulfadiazine in therapeutic doses over a period of 2 wks. to 9 healthy young [male] [male] had no appreciable effect on the quality of their ejaculates. Sulfadiazine appears in the seminal fluid at therapeutic levels and is maintained at these levels for at least 12 hrs. after therapy ceases. The drug appears in the excretions of the prostate and seminal vesicles in approx. equal concs. Keywords
