Combination of Genetic Factors and Chronic Exposure to Benzene in the Aetiology of Leukaemia

Abstract

Two families in which two relatives with chronic exposure to benzene developed acute leukaemia are presented. The results of the cytogenetic studies are presented and the importance of the combination of genetic and environmental factors in the causation of leukaemia is stressed.
